Witches’ Night Out
Pointed hats, familiar faces, and a little downtown magic.
The Photo Story
A little magic between the storefronts.
On Thursday, October 22, Witches’ Night Out brought a playful change of dress to Downtown Baraboo. From 5 to 8 PM, the sidewalks and shops became a gathering place for elaborate hats, flowing capes, and friends stopping for one more photograph.
The details tell the story: a star-covered cloak, a purple ribbon, a child sitting patiently for face paint. Inside, shoppers gathered around makers’ tables beneath the chandeliers; outside, small groups paused between storefronts to laugh, pose, and catch up.
This collection follows those encounters through 45 photographs, from the shop windows and sidewalk portraits to the circles of fire after dark. A warm, creative color treatment ties the gallery together while the people and their costumes remain at its heart.
