THE WORKING RELATIONSHIP
A good process keeps decisions visible and momentum steady.
Every project begins with listening. Before design begins, I learn what the business needs the website to accomplish, who it needs to reach, what already exists, and what would make the finished work valuable.
You work directly with me from the first conversation through launch. That continuity keeps strategy, writing, imagery, design, and development connected. Each stage ends with something concrete to review, so feedback happens at the right time and later work rests on decisions we have already made together.
The result is a calmer, more purposeful project. You always know what is being decided, what I am working on next, and how each choice supports the finished website.
“The purpose of a process is not to add layers. It is to make the right decisions in the right order.”
01 · DISCOVER
Start with the business, the audience, and the real goal.
We begin with a focused conversation about the organization, its customers, its competition, and the action the website should encourage. I review the current site and available materials, identify strengths worth preserving, and find the gaps that are making the experience harder than it needs to be.
This is also where we establish scope, priorities, required features, available content, and the visual references that feel right. Discovery gives the project a shared definition of success before time is invested in design.

02 · DEFINE
Give the story a structure people can understand.
Once the direction is clear, I organize the website around the way visitors actually look for information. Pages, navigation, calls to action, content hierarchy, and search structure are planned before visual polish begins.
We decide what belongs on each page, what needs stronger writing, what photography or media is missing, and what can be simplified. This stage turns a collection of ideas into a practical blueprint and prevents design from becoming decoration without purpose.

03 · DESIGN
Turn strategy into a visual system with character.
Design brings the plan to life through typography, color, composition, photography, spacing, motion, and interface details. The goal is a recognizable visual language that belongs to the business and supports the information instead of competing with it.
I design the most important views first and show how the experience adapts across desktop and mobile. Feedback is gathered in context, refined into clear decisions, and applied consistently across the rest of the site.

04 · BUILD
Make the design fast, responsive, and dependable.
The approved direction becomes a working website. I build the layouts, interactions, navigation, forms, search elements, analytics, metadata, and responsive behavior that carry the experience across phones, tablets, and desktop screens.
Content and imagery are placed with care, performance and accessibility are checked, and the official brand is applied consistently throughout the system. You receive a reviewable site and a clear opportunity to test the complete experience before launch.

05 · LAUNCH
Finish carefully, then put the website to work.
Before launch, I complete a final review of links, forms, responsive layouts, content, metadata, analytics, and browser behavior. Any remaining launch items are resolved, the approved site is connected to its live domain, and the transition is handled with care.
Launch is the handoff of a finished system, not the end of attention. I make sure you understand what has been delivered and what comes next, with room to discuss future content, updates, photography, search improvements, or additional features as the business grows.

TIMING & PAYMENT
Straightforward terms keep the project moving.
A standard website project is planned for approximately one month. The schedule begins after the initial payment and required starting materials are received. Scope, content readiness, added features, and feedback timing can affect the final delivery date, and any change is discussed clearly.
To begin
The first half reserves the project and begins discovery, planning, design, and production.
When finished
The remaining half is due when the approved website is complete and ready for final launch or handoff.
