Baraboo Tours leads guests through downtown after nightfall, combining local history with accounts of unexplained happenings connected to the city’s older buildings and public spaces. The walk trades manufactured spectacle for atmosphere, storytelling, and close attention to place.
The experience moves beyond a conventional history walk. Baraboo Tours begins with roughly 30 minutes outdoors in the downtown district, then brings the group upstairs, distributes ghost-hunting equipment, and turns out the lights for an indoor investigation. The combination lets guests hear the stories in their original streetscape before trying the tools used to explore them.
