01 · THE STORY
Come curious. Leave with a new possibility.
Families interested in Girl Scouts can visit the Baraboo Civic Center for an easy introduction to the program. The event gives girls space to try activities, meet local volunteers, and see how troops combine friendship with service, creative projects, and outdoor discovery.
Girl Scouts of Wisconsin–Badgerland builds the 90-minute discovery event around a magical-forest theme. Youth explore, create, and use their imagination while adults learn how troops work, what kinds of adventures are available, and how to join. It is a family event rather than a drop-off program, and the council notes that qualifying families can request fee waivers so cost does not prevent participation.
The first meeting can open the door to years of confidence and friendship.
02 · WHAT TO EXPECT
Children can join simple hands-on activities while caregivers learn how local troops work, what the year can include, and how to get involved. It is a chance to ask practical questions without committing before you understand the experience.
