01 · THE STORY
Confidence grows when safety feels approachable.
Child Safety Day brings local safety professionals and families together outside the Baraboo Children’s Museum. Children can practice useful skills in an encouraging setting while parents and caregivers pick up ideas they can carry into daily life.
The museum parking lot becomes a practical learning space where children can rehearse escaping a smoke-filled room and caregivers can see car-seat demonstrations. Support from an SSM Health St. Clare Foundation Healthy Community Partnership Grant helps provide life jackets and first-aid kits, while helmets and life jackets are fitted only when the child receiving them is present.
The best safety lesson is one a child can remember and use.

02 · WHAT TO EXPECT
Activities focus on age-appropriate skills such as fire and smoke safety, proper helmet and life-jacket fit, car-seat awareness, and simple first-aid knowledge. The open-house format lets families move at their own pace and ask questions.
